The international co-operation in mining and energy sectors has witnessed a huge increase in recent years with the booming of the two sectors. The global communication is being enhanced. But there is a lack of translators who are responsible for facilitating the communication. In view of this we have decided to set up a professional body, China Panel on Translation and Interpretation in Mining and Energy Sectors（CPTIMES）, to provide corresponding services to the mining and energy sectors. President of CPTIMES
Jacken Zheng is the president of CPTIMES. He is a professional conference interpreter and translator who has been working with Newsweek and MIT Technology Review as a translator. He is also the president of Know Fortune Business Services, a mining info consultant and an adviser to AIDS Prevention Education Project for Chinese Youth（APEPCY）. With abundant experience in translation and interpretation, he has served the Ministry of Finance of China, the Canadian Embassy to China, ADB, IBM, World Bank, Beijing Bank, China Construction Bank, WWF, Nokia, DDI, Teck Cominco, Ipsos, China Mining and other organizations. He has provided simultaneous and consecutive interpretation to many senior officials and execs.
